Daniel is the Founder and Managing Director of Active Creation Capital, a family office.
Prior to that, he served as the Group Chief Innovation Officer at Ping An Group from 2013-2017. In that role, Daniel was one of the chief architects in driving growth through innovation and technology. He was responsible for forging strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, overseeing relationships with key global research institutions, and supervision of Ping An Ventures. Daniel was both an executive and standing committee member reporting directly to Chairman and CEO Peter Ma. In addition, he was the co-lead for Ping An's AI and blockchain initiatives. Today, Ping An is the largest non-SOE in China, ranked 7th on the Forbes Global 2000, and the world's number one insurance company by market cap, revenue, and customers.
Before joining Ping An, Daniel was the Group CIO of the largest commercial bank in Taiwan as well as leading one of the largest payments entities in Asia. Furthermore, he was on the founding advisory team of the first internet company from China to list on Nasdaq.
Daniel has enjoyed a distinguished career spanning four decades in leading and advising companies in digital media, sports, technology and financial services. Today, he serves in board and advisory roles with leading global funds, Fortune 500 companies and tech startups in Asia, U.S. Europe and Israel.
