Current Position and Responsibilities 
Maaike Steinebach is Visa’s General Manager for Hong Kong and Macau. She is responsible for the full business operations, strategy development and management of Visa’s businesses in the two territories. She is also the founding member of the FinTech Association of Hong Kong.

Maaike brings more than 20 years of experience working in institutional, commercial and private banking in Europe, Asia, and Greater China.  

Before joining Visa, Maaike served for five years as Country Executive of Commonwealth Bank of Australia (Hong Kong), and before that as Country Executive for ABN AMRO (Hong Kong) and Regional Head Asia for the corporate bank. Prior to Hong Kong, Maaike spent five years in Shanghai as Country Manager for Fortis Bank Greater China.  

As founding member of Women in Tech HK and Women Chief Executive Group HK, Maaike is active in the advocacy for full and equal participation of women and girls in Hong Kong economy and society. She is also an active member in the fintech community in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

Bénédicte is the Head of the BIS Innovation Hub, Hong Kong Centre. Prior to this appointment, she was a managing director at SC Ventures, the innovation arm of Standard Chartered Bank that leads a series of new ventures across digital banking, banking as a service, SME finance and blockchain. From 2018-2019, she was the Vice President of International Government Relations at Circle, involved in the evolution of blockchain and digital assets. From 2012-2018, she was the Head of Risk & Strategy of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), and in that capacity also acting as the Vice Chair of the Committee on Emerging Risks and the Fintech research lead for the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). From 2007-2012, she was a managing director at Credit Suisse and before that from 1997-2007 she was an associate and executive director at Goldman Sachs. Originally from Belgium, she holds LL.M. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Chicago and the University of Leuven. She is admitted to the New York Bar since 1999. In 2016, she was a recipient of the China Daily Asian Women Leadership Awards for her efforts related to entrepreneurship, innovation and charity. Dr. YI Gang is the Governor of the People’s Bank of China and the Deputy Director of the Financial Stability and Development Committee of the State Council. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements.

Dr. Yi joined the People’s Bank of China in 1997 and has held a number of positions, including Secretary-General of the Monetary Policy Committee and Director-General of the Monetary Policy Department. In December 2007, he became a deputy governor and was appointed Administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange in July 2009, a position he held until December 2015. He was appointed Governor of the People’s Bank of China in March 2018.

Dr. Yi received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois in 1986 and was a faculty member in the Department of Economics, Indiana University from 1986 to 1994. In 1994, he co-founded the China Center for Economic Research (CCER) at Peking University and has been a professor at the CCER since then.

His research interests include money, banking and the Chinese economy.

Mr Christopher Hui Ching‐yu was appointed the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury on 22 April 2020.

Mr Hui was an Administrative Officer in the Government from 1999 to 2003 and served in the Economic Development Branch,

the Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in Beijing and the Home Affairs Department. Mr Hui worked in the banking sector after leaving the Government in 2003 and has worked for the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited for over 10 years. He has been the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council

since 2019.

Mr Hui holds Bachelor and Master (Hon) Degrees in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, and Master of Business Administration Degree from INSEAD. He also attended the Stanford Executive Programme (SEP).

許正宇由二零二零年四月二十二日起出任財經事務及庫務局局長。

Ms. Jessica Tan is currently Co-CEO of Ping An Group (the “Group”), overseeing the Group’s insurance, technology and healthcare businesses. She sits on the Group’s Executive Committee and Investment Management Committee for its over 30 subsidiaries across Insurance, Banking, Investment, Technology and Internet businesses. She is in charge of 10+ Ping An subsidiaries. Ms. Tan also serves on the board of a number of subsidiaries under Ping An Bank, Ping An Property & Casualty, Ping An Life, and Ping An Asset Management.

In Ms. Tan’s 9 years at Ping An, the Group grew from the world’s 30th largest financial conglomerate into the 2th, serving 668 million online users and 225 million financial customers. Moreover, Ping An made major strides in technology and innovation, having established research institutes and increasing its R&D staff from to over 30,000 (including nearly 3,900 scientists). The Group has filed over 43,000 patent applications around the world, ranking 1st for fintech, AI and digital healthcare globally. In addition, Ping An has won over 70 international championships in the last 5 years, including image recognition, semantic understanding, deep learning, medical imaging, intelligent diagnosis, and has published over 250 papers in internationally renowned journals covering healthtech, AI and other fields, such as The Lancet and American Journal of Kidney Diseases.

Ms. Tan serves as a member of several government advisory committees, including a global director of the Institute of International Finance (IIF), a member of the International Association for the Study of Insurance Economics (the Geneva Association), a member of international advisory panel for Human Health and Potential (HHP) of Singapore, a member of International Advisory Board (IAB) of University of Oxford Blavatnik School of Government, an international Advisor of Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), a member of Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), and an expert advisor of Shenzhen Advisory Committee, as well as an advisor of Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Seoul International Business Advisory Council (SIBAC). She also represented Ping An as one of Co-Chairs for the World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos event in 2019. Ms. Tan received the Chinese Government Friendship Award in 2019. In 2020, Ms. Tan was listed by the Fortune magazine as the second most powerful woman outside of the US, and won the “Best 2 CEO” award from Institutional Investor’s 2020 All-Asia Executive Team rankings. In 2021, Ms. Tan was named Her World magazine's Woman of the Year, and ranked 6th on the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders list by the Fortune magazine.

Before joining Ping An, Ms. Tan served as a global partner at McKinsey & Company. In her 13 years with McKinsey in the USA and ten Asian countries, Ms. Tan has worked with over 30 world-leading financial and technology companies and regulatory authorities, focusing on strategy, innovation, operations and technology. She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and two bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics respectively. As a native Singaporean, Ms. Tan is married and has two daughters.

Mr Eddie Yue was appointed Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) from 1 October 2019.  He began his career as an Administrative Officer in the Hong Kong Government in 1986.  He joined the HKMA upon its establishment in 1993 and was promoted to Division Head a year later.  He was appointed Executive Director in 2001 and subsequently Deputy Chief Executive in 2007 before taking up his current position.

Mr Yue has participated in numerous areas of the HKMA’s work.  During his tenure as Deputy Chief Executive, he steered major policies and initiatives relating to reserves management, research, external affairs and market development.  Mr Yue was also actively involved in tackling major financial crises and played an instrumental role in enhancing the Linked Exchange Rate System.

Mr Yue was educated at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Harvard Business School.

Ashley is the Chief Executive Officer of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong. He was first appointed in October 2011. In May 2016, Ashley was elected as Chair of the Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), and was re-elected for a further two-year term in June 2020.

Ashley was previously Chair of the IOSCO Asia-Pacific Regional Committee and Vice Chair of the IOSCO Board. Ashley has represented IOSCO as a member of the Financial Stability Board Steering Committee and Plenary since his election as IOSCO Board Chair.

Ashley started his career as a lawyer in London in 1984. He moved to Hong Kong in 1989 with the international law firm Herbert Smith, practicing corporate and business law. Before taking up DNB’s presidency, Klaas was Deputy Treasurer-General and Director of Financial Markets at the Dutch Ministry of Finance (2009-2011). Between 1995 and 2009 he held several positions at DNB, the Pension and Insurance Authority (2003-2004) and the International Monetary Fund (1998-1999).

In 1991, he graduated with honours in economics at the University of Groningen. In 1995, he obtained his PhD in economics.

Professor Klaas Knot has been President of De Nederlandsche Bank since 1 July 2011. He serves as Vice Chair of the Financial Stability Board and Chair of its Standing Committee on the Assessment of Vulnerabilities. He is a member of the Governing Council and the General Council of the European Central Bank, member of the European Systemic Risk Board, Governor of the International Monetary Fund, Governor of the Bank for International Settlements and also member of its Board of Directors.

Klaas holds several secondary positions. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of the CliniClowns Foundation. Since 2005, he has been Honorary Professor of Economics of Central Banking at the University of Groningen and since 2015 he is also Honorary Professor of Monetary Stability at the University of Amsterdam. Klaas has published several articles in leading (international) journals in monetary and financial economics.

Mr Lai joined Tencent in 2009 and was the general manager for Tenpay between 2012 and 2019.  In 2015, Tencent’s payment business was accelerated and developed into Tencent FiT (Financial Technology). Since then, Mr Lai has been leading Tencent FiT until 2019.

During the time when Mr Lai headed up the Tenpay and Tencent FiT business, he and the team have made contributions of strategic significance in setting up the Group’s payment infrastructure and in creating an open financial ecosystem. In 2014, Mr Lai and his team launched WeChat Red Packet and QQ Red Packet, which had gained huge popularity across China. This enabled Tencent to tap into the fast payment market and provided a solid foundation for gaining a competitive edge in mobile payment. In 2014, Mr Lai and his team also launched the wealth management platform Licaitong. The platform has grown its aggregated customer assets to over RMB 800 billion by first half of 2019. Consequently, with payment services as an entry point, Tencent has succeeded in establishing a financial ecosystem that covers such diversified fields as wealth management, securities, banking, and blockchain. This has positioned Tencent as the leader in the FinTech sector. In 2017, Mr Lai initiated the establishment of Tencent Finance Academy, which aims to nurture cross-border talents for the Internet and financial sectors and to facilitate the long-term development of the FinTech industry. Mr Lai is the Dean of the Academy. 

Tencent’s virtual bank business is tasked with the mission of exploring innovations and opening up new frontiers for the company and the industry. In May 2019, under Mr Lai’s leadership, Fusion Bank Limited, a joint venture initiated by Tencent, was granted a virtual banking license by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. In June 2019, as Tencent’s vice president, Mr Lai was appointed as the Chairman of Fusion Bank. 

Mr Lai is concurrently a director of renowned financial corporations including ZhongAn Online P&C Insurance Company Limited, Hetai Life Insurance Company Limited, and CITIC Capital Holdings Limited. 

Prior to joining Tencent, Mr Lai had successively been an investment manager with Apax Partners PE in the UK and Lehman Brother’s Investment Bank in the US; and served as associate vice president at Credit Suisse First Boston Investment Bank. 

Mr Lai is a member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. In the Hong Kong SAR, he is a member of the Chief Executive's Council of Advisers on Innovation and Strategic Development and a member of Committee on Innovation, Technology and Re-industrialization. He also serves as a board member and Convenor of the Policy Research Committee of Financial Services Development Council and a member of the Financial Infrastructure and Market Development Sub-Committee of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Monetary Authority. In 2009, Mr Lai was named Outstanding Corporate Leader in the 530 Program of Wuxi Municipality, Jiangsu Province, People’s Republic of China. 

Mr Lai holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from MIT, minor in economics. He also holds a master’s degree in computer science from MIT as well as an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.

Mr Yau assumed the post of the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development on July 1, 2017. His portfolio covers policy areas from trade, commerce to telecommunications and broadcasting, and from promotion of creative industries, intellectual property and consumer protection to boosting inward investment and tourism development.  

Mr Yau has his full career in the public service. Before taking up the current post, Mr Yau was the Director of the Chief Executive's Office from 2012 to 2017, assisting the Chief Executive in formulating policies and setting policy goals and priorities. He was the Secretary for the Environment from 2007 to 2012, overseeing policies on environmental protection, energy, nature conservation and sustainable development. 

Mr Yau started his civil service career as an Administrative Officer in 1981. During his long service as a civil servant, he held various positions,  including Director of Information Services, Deputy Secretary for  Education and Manpower, Deputy Director-General of Trade and Industry as well as Director-General of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Washington, DC, USA. 

Mr Yau graduated from the University of Hong Kong. He received further education at Oxford University and at Harvard University.

Agustín Carstens became General Manager of the BIS on 1 December 2017.

Mr Carstens was Governor of the Bank of Mexico from 2010 to 2017. A member of the BIS Board from 2011 to 2017, he was chair of the Global Economy Meeting and the Economic Consultative Council from 2013 until 2017. He also chaired the International Monetary and Financial Committee, the IMF's policy advisory committee from 2015 to 2017.

Mr Carstens began his career in 1980 at the Bank of Mexico. From 1999 to 2000, he was Executive Director at the IMF. He later served as Mexico’s deputy finance minister (2000–03) and as Deputy Managing Director at the IMF (2003–06). He was Mexico's finance minister from 2006 to 2009. 

Mr Carstens has been a member of the Financial Stability Board since 2010 and is a member of the Group of Thirty.

Mr Carstens holds an MA and a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Tang studied mathematics at Peking University, and gained a bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of the South (Sewanee) in the US. In 2018, he was awarded the honorary doctorate degree of the University of the South (Sewanee) for his outstanding achievements in the fintech field. During his early career, Mr. Tang joined Wall Street investment bank Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where he worked on IPO, bond issuance and M&A in the areas of financial services, telecommunications, media and technology.

Mr. Tang serves as Chairman of Beijing Internet Finance Association and the member of Specialized Committee for Funds of Funds of China Securities Investment Fund Industry Association, Global Leadership Committee of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and Shanghai Finance Institute. In September 2018, Mr. Tang was appointed financial advisor of Xi'an Municipal People's Government. Mr. Tang studied mathematics at Peking University, and gained a bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of the South (Sewanee) in the US. In 2018, he was awarded the honorary doctorate degree of the University of the South (Sewanee) for his outstanding achievements in the fintech field. During his early career, Mr. Tang joined Wall Street investment bank Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where he worked on IPO, bond issuance and M&A in the areas of financial services, telecommunications, media and technology.

Mr. Tang founded CreditEase in Beijing in 2006. After efforts of 14 years, CreditEase has grown into an internationally leading fintech enterprise, promoting the development of inclusive finance and wealth management career in China. On December 18, 2015, CreditEase listed its online consumer finance and wealth management subsidiary, Yiren Digital, on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:YRD), the first fintech company IPO from China in the global capital markets.

Mr. Tang serves as Chairman of Beijing Internet Finance Association and the member of Specialized Committee for Funds of Funds of China Securities Investment Fund Industry Association, Global Leadership Committee of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and Shanghai Finance Institute. In September 2018, Mr. Tang was appointed financial advisor of Xi'an Municipal People's Government. Mr Alfred Sit joined the Government as Assistant Electrical and Mechanical Engineer in 1984 and was promoted to Chief Electrical and Mechanical Engineer in 2001, to Government Electrical and Mechanical Engineer in 2007, to Deputy Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services in 2011. He was Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services and Electrical and Mechanical Services Trading Fund General Manager since October 2017. On 22 April 2020, Mr Sit was appointed Secretary for Innovation and Technology.

Mr Sit is an electrical engineer by profession and has over 30 years’ experience in public administration. He is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. He was the President of the Hong Kong Institution of Facility Management and Chairman of the Biomedical Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Mr Sit holds the Associateship in Electrical Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic and a master degree in Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has also attended the Harvard Business School.

Ms Leung is a member of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). She is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director with responsibility for the Intermediaries Division, which comprises the Intermediaries Supervision and Licensing departments. That Division is primarily responsible for administering licensing requirements and conducting ongoing supervision of licensed corporations with a focus on their business conduct and financial soundness.
Prior to joining the SFC, Ms Leung was the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury from August 2008 to December 2013 and worked with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) for 14 years.
Ms Leung graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and earned a master's degree from Columbia University in the City of New York. She authored a book on how Asia surmounted various financial crises.
Ms Leung is a member of the Council of Advisers for Applied Research of the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary and Financial Research.

Joseph is a career international banker. He has held executive positions at NAB, ANZ, CIBC World Markets, Citibank and Lloyds Bank.

As Group Executive/Divisional CEO, NAB Business Banking from 2008-14, Joseph was responsible for leading Australia’s largest and most profitable Business Bank and SME franchise.

A member of the Group Executive Committee, the Group Risk Committee and Group Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO), Joseph also chaired the Business Bank Divisional Risk Committee overseeing a loan portfolio of $220bn. At ANZ from 2000-4, Joseph developed a ‘Wall St. to Main St.’ strategy bringing advisory and private equity capabilities to the SME market.

From 2004-7, Joseph was ANZ’s Managing Director, Global Client Relationships. Joseph spent 12 years at Citi, where he had extensive credit and market risk training and held senior risk management roles. Joseph has deep customer, risk and business management experience, together with success in starting new businesses. Joseph holds a MSc (Finance), MBA, MSc International Management (China), MA in Contemporary Chinese Studies and MBA (Banking) degrees from University of London, London Business School and University of Nottingham in China and is currently studying for an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at Kings College, London. He is a fellow of FINSIA and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and authored three books: ‘Corporate Governance & Shareholder Wealth Creation’ (2003), ‘Chinese Firms Going Global – Can They Succeed? (2018) and ‘Breaking the Banks – What went wrong with Australia’s banking? (2019). Joseph is an Adjunct Professor at University of Queensland Business School, and was a member of the expert panel advising the Deans of Australian Universities on finance course content at Bachelor and Master Degree levels.

He was a Director of Football Federation Australia (FFA) from 2010-2018 and has five international football caps for Scotland at youth level.

He also volunteers on the boards of directors of the Mozilla Foundation (since 2003) and the Electronic Frontier Foundation (since 2013) and chairs the Technical Advisory Board at ID2020. Brian's career has switched between starting early web and open source companies (Wired Magazine, Organic and CollabNet), to working for the White House 2009-2010 and as Chief Technology Officer at the World Economic Forum. Brian lives on a farm with chickens and goats, and once took a day trip to Antarctica.

Arthur Yuen is in charge of the full range of banking policy, supervision, conduct, and enforcement issues at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). He joined the HKMA in 1996 as Head of Administration and has since taken up different responsibilities including research and liaison on China economic and market development issues before being appointed Head of Banking Supervision in 2000.  He took up the position as Executive Director (Banking Development) in July 2004, Executive Director (Banking Supervision) in June 2005 and Executive Director (External) in July 2008.  He was appointed to his present position on 1 January 2010.

Yingxue Cao is the Managing Director responsible for leading the InnoVen’s business in China. She is a senior expert in China venture lending business with more than 10 years working experiences in debt market.

Prior to joining InnoVen capital, Yingxue was a Managing Director of China Growth Capital where she led the venture lending business.

Yingxue started her career in investment banking in Deutsche Bank (HongKong). She was the Vice President of Debt Capital Market Department responsibly for the the initiation and underwriting of large and medium-sized domestic foreign bonds, structured products. She also served as a senior analyst in Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.

Yingxue received her Ph.D. in quantitative economics from Tsinghua University, she also had Master degree and Bachelor degree in Finance from Tsinghua University.

Mr Edmond Lau is responsible for external affairs, financial infrastructure and research.  He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Economics and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Hong Kong. Mr Lau joined the Hong Kong Government as an Administrative Officer in 1986. He joined the HKMA in 1997 as Division Head (Banking Development) and had been involved in banking reform and the establishment of the Deposit Protection Scheme. He also served as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief Executive of the HKMA in 2004 after a one-year secondment to the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau. Mr Lau was promoted as Executive Director (Strategy and Risk) in 2005. He assumed the post of Executive Director (Monetary Management) from 2007 to 2013 when he resigned from the HKMA to pursue further study and, thereafter, take up a leadership role in an NGO. Mr Lau joined HKMC Annuity Limited as Chief Executive Officer in 2017.

Mr Pou holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Mr Pou joined the HKMA in 1994 as an Assistant Manager. He was promoted as Manager in 1997, as Senior Manager in 2000 and as Division Head in 2008. Mr Pou has worked in different areas of HKMA’s work including banking supervision, banking policy, banking development, monetary operations and payment system operations. Mr Pou was seconded to The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC) during 2015 to 2018 to oversee HKMC's general insurance business, before taking up the present position on 29 October 2018.

Before this, Geoffrey spent seven years as a founding Partner at Atomico, a leading global VC firm with over US$2 billion in assets under management where he focused on sourcing new investments and working with portfolio companies on their global business development and expansion initiatives. 

In 2002, Geoffrey co-founded Skype, where he also served as Chief Strategy Officer. At Skype, he worked with a small team to build a leading global telecommunications platform company and oversaw its expansion into Asia and Latin America in addition to driving its initial business plan development and fundraising activities. He also played an instrumental role in the $3.1 billion exit to eBay Inc in 2005.

Nick Molnar is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of North America for Afterpay, the leading retail installment payments innovator and one of the fastest growing global fintech companies. 

As a former investment analyst and young, serial-entrepreneur, Nick’s vision for Afterpay was to create a global payment solution that would allow consumers to pay for items in four interest-free installments. As a millennial himself, he recognized that this generation has an aversion to credit cards because they can lead to compounding debt. Nick launched Afterpay in Australia in October 2014 and listed the company on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2016. The company expanded into the U.S. in May 2018 and the UK in June 2019. Mr. Anubrata Biswas is the MD & CEO of Airtel Payments Bank Ltd, the first Payments Bank in India. Mr. Biswas has an experience of over 17 years in the Banking Industry, holding multiple leadership roles across geographies. Prior to joining Airtel Payments Bank, he worked with ICICI Bank Ltd, India’s second largest bank, as the Retail Business Head for South India.

Mr. Biswas started his banking career with ICICI in 2001. Mr Chan was appointed the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the  Treasury on 16 August 2017. 

Mr Chan has many years of senior executive experience in the banking industry.  He was a Managing Director in the Global Markets Division of Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, and was a Managing Director in Financial  Markets of Standard Chartered Bank. 

Prior to joining the Government, Mr Chan held multiple roles in a number of  public and professional bodies, including Vice President of the Hong Kong  Society of Financial Analysts, Director of Hong Kong Securities & Investment  Institute, Advisor of the Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society, as well as a  General Committee member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. 

Mr Chan was also a member of the Central & Western District Council.  

Mr Chan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Hon) and Psychology from the  University of Michigan, USA. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Mr Nelson Chow has been appointed to the present position from 1 September 2016 with responsibilities for facilitating the healthy development of the fintech ecosystem in Hong Kong and promoting Hong Kong as a fintech hub in Asia. He joined the HKMA in 2004 and was responsible for the supervision of banks’ technology risk management and business continuity planning as well as the formulation of related policies and guidelines. He was the Deputy Chief Representative of the New York Office in 2010. After returning to Hong Kong in 2013, he took up responsibilities to supervise banks’ operational risk management and perform macro-prudential data analysis. Prior to joining the HKMA, Mr Chow was a Vice President of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. responsible for information risk management of the Asia Pacific region.

Nick Hungerford is a Partner at Portag3 Ventures and is based in Southeast Asia. He is also the founder of Nutmeg, Europe's leading online investment management service and led the company from an idea through development and $100M of funding. Nick is a digital ambassador for the UK Department of International Trade, a member of the European Power 50 and recipient of Spears Entrepreneur of the year award.

He previously worked at Barclays in areas of product, trading and wealth management and was a Divisional Director at Brewin Dolphin PLC. Nick was a founding Director of Innovate Finance, the association representing the UK’s global FinTech community and an advisor to and investor in a number of technology-led startups.

Nick obtained an Undergraduate degree from Exeter University in the UK and holds an MBA from Stanford University. He is a Fellow of the Securities Institute and a member of the Global Entrepreneur Program. Nick is a volunteer teacher at several UK universities in the subjects of behaviour finance and entrepreneurship.

Prior to Lendingkart, Harshvardhan has served as the founder & director at Domestic Finance & Investment Private Limited, where he specialized in arranging alternative modes of financing for SMEs. As the relationship manager at ICICI Bank bank earlier to that, Hashvardhan’s primary role involved interacting with clients, understanding their requirements & structuring the deals, in addition to interacting with risk, credit, legal, operations, and executions. Harshvardhan has also worked with The Standard Chartered Bank and HDFC Bank in varying capacities. 

Harsh is a Chartered Accountant and pursued his Post Graduation from ISB (Indian School business).
