Wayne Shiong is currently Co-founder and Managing Partner of Argo Venture Partners, a physical AI seed fund based in Silicon Valley. 

Wayne is a cross-border venture capitalist with 27 years of tech entrepreneurship, investment banking and early stage venture investing experience between China and US. During his tenure at China Growth Capital, Bertelsmann Asia Investments, Matrix Partners China, and WI Harper, he has helped create nearly $1 billion in aggregate equity value.

His recent standout investments include WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD), Seyond (HKEX: 7855), PlusDrive (NASDAQ: CCCX), Biren Technologies (HKEX: 6082), XREAL, Landspace, and DeePhi (acquired by NASDAQ: XLNX).

He was among the first-generation Wall Street analysts covering Chinese technology stocks and previously founded a Bluetooth technology startup. 

Wayne earned his economics degree from Peking University, with a strong academic interest in game theory and complexity science.

Shi Wei served in the military for 11 years before transitioning to civilian work and joining ZTE Corporation. He once participated in the development of a military application system for the Beidou-1 Project and the formulation of national standards for smart education in China. Currently General Manager of Baidu Intelligent Cloud for Hong Kong and Macao, he is primarily responsible for partnership development and project implementation for Baidu’s Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Center.

He focuses on the practical deployment of AI technologies to boost productivity within the primary and secondary industries, covering the full spectrum from AI algorithm research to integrated engineering architecture design and implementation. He holds the view that the future of artificial intelligence lies in the integration of algorithms and hardware. His work aims to customize and popularize dedicated intelligent devices tailored for industrial scenarios, especially manufacturing and agriculture. Ultimately, these solutions can replace human labor in repetitive, mechanical, inefficient and hazardous work environments.

Based in Hong Kong and with over 30 years of experience in financial services technology, Wendy Wang has assumed the role as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Asia and the Middle East in January 2025, overseeing the regional Technology team as part of the Global Technology and regional leadership teams.  

Born in China and raised in the US with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Wendy previously worked for a number of financial services organisations, including Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, General Re, Bankers Trust, and AIG.

Wendy joined HSBC’s Global Banking and Markets Technology in New York in 2005. In 2009, she transferred to HSBC Hong Kong and held the position of Asia-Pacific CIO for Global Banking and Markets. Wendy was appointed Global CIO for Commercial Banking in 2013 and moved to the United Kingdom before moving back to Hong Kong in 2017.  

In 2020, Wendy’s role was expanded to Wholesale CIO for a newly formed Technology unit, covering Commercial Banking, Global Banking, Global Cash and Liquidity, and Payment infrastructure. In 2024, she was appointed as Global Head, Technology Centres, and had the oversight across all of the Technology Centres in India, China, Poland, and Mexico.

Wendy Yuen is currently the Head of Personal and Business Banking Group of China CITIC Bank International Limited, with the key responsibility of driving growth and strategic development across the Bank’s Personal Banking, Private Banking as well as SME Banking business.

Ms Yuen has more than 20 years’ experience in the banking industry. Over the years, she has held various senior roles as in retail channel management, commercial banking development, overseas branch management and operations, securities and investment products management as well as market research and product development. Prior to joining the Bank, she was Head of Retail Distribution, Hang Seng Bank Limited.

She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Fellow of The Institute of Public Accountants (FIPA), Fellow Financial Accountants (FFA), Certified Banker (CB) and Associate Fintech Professional (CPFinT(A)) of The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers.

Alongside her professional capacities, Ms Yuen also serves in a number of public roles. She is a General Committee Member of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, for which she has also been appointed as the Vice Chairman of GBA Think Tank, Member of the Finance and Human Resources Committee, and Council Member of the Pearl River Delta Council. She is also a Member of the Communications Authority, Panel Member of Insurance Appeals Tribunal, Member of the Social Welfare Advisory Committee of Labour and Welfare Bureau, Member of Investment Advisory Boards of the Police Children’s Education Trust and Police Education and Welfare Trust. On the other hand, she is also a Member of Honours Academy Board of the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.

Will Courtenay is a lawyer and Managing Director at HSBC in the Digital Legal Services team. He partners with business leaders to support HSBC’s growth and transformation agenda, advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of digital products and services—including AI, digital assets and currencies, and digital platforms. Will is based in Hong Kong SAR.

Before joining HSBC, Will worked for Morgan Stanley and the London Stock Exchange Group. He has lived and worked in the UK, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, bringing an international perspective on enabling innovation at pace while managing risk.

Dr. William Yu is the Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Circular Economy and the Founder of the World Green Organisation (WGO). An energy economist and climate professional by training, Dr. Yu completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge. He also holds an Executive MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University (USA), completed the Sustainable Finance Programme at Cambridge, and was a scholarship recipient for the Executive Education program in Non-Profit Strategic Management at Harvard Business School. Prior to his leadership in the sustainability sector, he gained extensive regional management experience working with US multinationals, including 3M Hong Kong, and major financial institutions such as the Bank of China Group.

Internationally, Dr. Yu serves as a Task Force Member of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Business Network (ESBN) of the United Nations, and was the Vice-Chair of the UN ESBN Asia Pacific Business Forum (APBF) in 2022. He is a highly sought-after global speaker, frequently invited to share his insights at prestigious international conferences organized by the United Nations, the Financial Times, Bloomberg, and The Economist.

In Hong Kong, Dr. Yu actively shapes environmental and sustainability policy through various high-level government advisory roles. He is a member of the Advisory Council on the Environment (ACE) under the Environment and Ecology Bureau, and a member of the Council for Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development of the HKSAR Government. Additionally, he serves on the Green Tech Fund Assessment Committee under the Environmental Protection Department (EPD).

A champion of corporate governance, green technology, and social impact, Dr. Yu serves as the Chairman of the Judging Panel for the BDO ESG Awards, Deputy Chairman of the Judging Panel for the Smart Living Award at the Hong Kong ICT Awards (2025), and a member of the Sustainability Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Social Impact Analysts (HKISIA).

As an educator and professional trainer, Dr. Yu has held adjunct professorships at several universities and is currently a Faculty Member of the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC). In this capacity, he regularly trains board-level C-suite executives and regulators on Carbon Neutrality, Green Finance, and Sustainability.

Dr. Yu holds numerous prestigious professional credentials. He is an Accredited Trainer for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) SDG Impact Standards, a Certified China Carbon Trader registered with the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange, and a BEAM Pro expert serving on the CA Expert Panel at the BEAM Society. Furthermore, he acts as an Advisor for both the Certified ESG Planner (CEP) and the Professional Circular Economy Planner qualifications.

Winnie Fan is the Deputy General Manager of the Global Corporate Banking Department at Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. A seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of experience.

Throughout her distinguished tenure, Winnie has accumulated deep expertise across diverse banking domains, including corporate and retail banking, trade bills operations, mainland branches management, cross-border and RMB business, Southeast Asia business, green and sustainable finance business development and management. She oversees tailored financial solutions for local, Mainland Chinese, and multinational corporations spanning TMT, shipping, ports, aviation, real estate, logistics, and infrastructure sectors. Before her current position, Winnie has also been the Deputy Chief Executive of Chiyu Banking Corporation Limited, Managing Director of Sustainable Finance (Corporate Banking) at Bank of China (Hong Kong).

In her current leadership role, Winnie actively leads business development strategies for emerging and future-focused industries, specializing in cultivating client relationships within the Big-tech, artificial intelligence (AI), and TMT, ICT, data center domains. She is dedicated to driving financial innovation, developing products and services that empower these high-growth companies to scale and expand globally.

Winnie has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles across Sales Management, Wealth Products, Retail Products, Propositions, International, and Marketing. She is responsible for HSBC's wealth solutions and strategies across the retail and private banking segments in Hong Kong.

Prior to her current role, Winnie served as Head of Distribution Sales Management, driving sales performance, and as Head of International, Jade & Premier Propositions, where she focused on customer growth and portfolio deepening within high-net-worth segments.

Before joining HSBC, Winnie spent over 14 years at Citi in senior roles.

Winnie is the CEO & Executive Director of Asia Insurance Company Limited and Avo Insurance Company Limited.  Prior to Asia Insurance, she was the CEO of Aon Risk Solutions Hong Kong/Macau.

She is a recognized industry expert in insurance, insurtech and risk management, regularly speaking at numerous industry conferences and is very active in the financial services industry and community in terms of proposing recommendations to develop the financial services/insurance industry, re-brand the industry image, and develop young talent by serving on various government-appointed Advisory Boards such as the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC), Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation (HKECIC) and the Independent Commission on Remuneration for Members of the Executive Council and the Legislature, and Officials under the Political Appointment system of the HKSAR, industry-elected boards, university trustee and charity boards.

Ms Wivinia Luk holds the position of Senior Manager of Policy Research at the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC). She steers the Council’s research agenda, covering policy development across several key financial sectors. Her areas of focus include green and sustainability, FinTech, asset and wealth management, insurance, and connectivity with the Mainland and international markets.

Prior to joining the FSDC, Ms Luk worked in the field of corporate strategic planning and development, with a series of commercial roles in the banking and financial services sectors.Ms Luk graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics and a Master of Social Science in Global Political Economy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Wolf Ruzicka is a veteran technology executive with over 25 years of experience leading enterprise strategy, innovation, and digital transformation. As Chief Commercial Officer at Unlimit, he drives the company’s global commercial strategy, partnering with clients to unlock growth through AI-driven solutions.

Throughout his career, Wolf has built and scaled high-performing technology businesses. He joined EastBanc Technologies as CEO in 2007, growing the company from 25 to over 200 employees. Following its merger with Solvd, now a nearly 1,000-person organisation, he led Solvd’s strategic advisory efforts, helping to position it as a leader in sophisticated software solutions. He also served as President of APIphany, a division of EastBanc Technologies, through its acquisition by Microsoft. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at MicroStrategy and contributed to global initiatives with organisations such as Mercedes-Benz, Lufthansa, and the Japanese government.

An entrepreneur, investor, and technology advocate, Wolf has served on numerous boards, including Microsoft’s Customer Advisory Board for Azure, Halcyon House, Spense, Kion, and the Investment Board of Virginia Venture Partners, contributing to nine successful exits. He is also the author of AI Driven and a dedicated mentor in the technology and venture community.

Dr. Xiao Zhang is the Founder and CEO of Syneron Bio, a global leader in Al-driven macrocyclic peptide drug discovery and a Chinese unicorn. Syneron Bio combines artificial intelligence with high-throughput experimentation: its proprietary Synova™ platform and 10^12-scale mRNA display library enable end-to-end discovery of macrocyclic peptide drugs targeting intracellular "undruggable" targets beyond the reach of small molecules and antibodies.

Dr. Jin joined One Connect in 2024 as the CEO of OCHK and the General Manager of AI Digital Intelligence BU. Dr. Jin joined Ping An Group in 2021, served as the Chief Architect of Ping An Technology, responsible for driving Ping An Group IT strategy, enterprise architecture, engineering efficiency, and technology innovation with building common platforms for AI, data, and DevOps supporting IFS.

Before joining Ping An Group, Dr. Jin has more than 20 years international IT development/consultancy and technology leadership experience, working with multi-culture teams in several banks (HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Barclays Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland) and consultancy companies. From 2015 to 2021, Dr. Jin served as the Chief Architect for Global Risk and Asia-Pacific Wholesale Banking at HSBC.

Mike Xu is the Co-Chairman and CEO of Fosun Capital and a Global Partner of Fosun Group. He has extensive experience in technology investment, corporate management, and cross-border business development, with a strong focus on FinTech, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and other emerging technologies.

At Fosun, Mike has led investments in leading technology companies, including Espressif Systems, a global provider of IoT semiconductor solutions that successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange STAR Market; HeHe Technology (CCT), a leading Chinese AI and big data company; and Delhivery, a major Indian e-commerce logistics company. He has also played an active role in fostering international technology partnerships, including Fosun's collaboration with MIT on the China Future City Lab and its strategic partnership with Plug and Play.

Mike holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Fudan University and an Executive MBA from Washington University's Olin Business School in St. Louis. He has also pursued advanced studies in finance and management.

Xixi Li is a Partner at NEWDAQ Investment, a China-focused quantitative fund manager and a domestic leader in convertible bond and ETF arbitrage. Ms. Li oversees all external affairs and corporate representation for the firm. She has built and leads its Investor Relations (IR) function, designing the engagement framework and disclosure standards for institutional investors, intermediaries, and industry stakeholders.

Ms. Li earned a BSc from Peking University and an MSc from King's College London. She began her career at a London-based family office before returning to China to join two of the country's top hedge funds, where she gained exposure to various asset classes.

Her expertise spans asset allocation, fund products, and investment strategy, backed by a cross-market, multi-cycle track record in portfolio management. She offers the panel a practitioner's perspective on China's specialist arbitrage markets.

Professor Yang Wang is Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Institutional Advancement), Co-Founder and Co-Director of HKU Web3 Institute and Chair Professor in Mathematics, Computing and Data Science at The University of Hong Kong. He is an internationally renowned scholar. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Harvard University and has held distinguished leadership roles, including Department Chair of Mathematics at Michigan State University and Dean of the School of Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), where he co-founded the HKUST Big Data Institute.

I am Zhao Yang, Business Director of Esunny International (HK) Co.,Limited, with over ten years of experience covering domestic and overseas futures industries. Dr Ying Huang assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer at ASTRI in September 2024. A visionary technologist with over 30 years’ experience in ICT, AI, data analytics and decision sciences, Dr Huang is renowned for driving innovation and commercialisation. His illustrious career spans major multinational corporations across the United States and China, where he has shaped research strategies and pioneered advancements in cutting-edge technologies.

Dr Huang’s professional journey includes significant tenures in Beijing, Shanghai and New York, where he held leadership roles at esteemed organisations such as Lenovo Research, IBM Research and Philips Research, accumulating rich experiences and connections.

Dr Huang’s contributions have garnered numerous accolades, including Lenovo Leadership Awards, IBM Outstanding Research Awards. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed academic journals and holds dozens of patents in both the United States and China. His contributions have earned him the title of Professor-Grade Senior Engineer in China.

He serves as a Guest Professor at the College of Software and Microelectronics at Peking University, and has held prominent positions such as the founding Vice Chair of the International Alliance on SparkLink, an emerging short-range communication technology, and a Board member of the Green Computing Consortium.

Dr Huang holds a PhD in Operations Research from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Fudan University.

Dr. Ni Yuan is an AI Healthcare Scientist at Ping An Group and the Deputy Chief Engineer of Ping An Technology.

Dr. Ni received her bachelor's degree from the Department of Computer Science at Fudan University in 2003 and her Ph.D. from the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore in 2007, focusing on knowledge graphs and natural language processing technologies. After completing her Ph.D., she joined IBM China Research Lab, where she was involved in several pioneering AI projects. In 2018, she moved to Ping An Technology as Deputy Chief Engineer and Head of the Intelligent Disease Management Department, leading the development of a Chinese healthcare knowledge graph and Ping An’s “MediBot” large healthcare model.

Dr. Ni has published over 30 papers in top international conferences and journals on computer science and healthcare informatics, and holds more than 20 patents.

Yvonne is Managing Director, Head of Global Payments Solutions (GPS), Greater China at HSBC.  She is responsible for developing the GPS franchise in Hong Kong, a strategic priority market for HSBC Group, as well as managing the GPS businesses in mainland China, Taiwan, Macau, and Hang Seng Bank.

As a member of the Global GPS leadership team, Yvonne is instrumental in crafting and implementing strategies to transform front-to-back solutions, addressing clients' evolving needs in treasury management and digital payments, especially in the domains of Real-Time Cross-Border and Domestic Payments, Central Bank Digital Currency, ISO 20022, Treasury Solutions Advisory, and Digital Merchant Solutions.

In addition to her responsibilities at HSBC, Yvonne has been a Board Director at Swift since June 2021. In this role, she collaborates with global industry peers to further Swift's initiatives for the banking community, market infrastructures, and customers worldwide.  She also holds the position of Deputy Chair of the Risk Committee on the Swift board and has led the Economic Task Force to devise Swift’s new pricing strategy.

With over 25 years of experience in Payments and Cash Management within HSBC Group, Yvonne has held senior leadership roles in strategy, finance, product innovation, and country management across the Asia Pacific region. As a recognised industry leader, she has represented HSBC on various forums, contributing to discussions on digital payments, FinTech partnerships, and treasury transformation. Mr. Yang Zaifei, 51, serves as an Executive Director and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. As CEO, Mr. Yang is primarily responsible for the overall strategic planning, business direction, and comprehensive operational management of the Group.

Prior to joining the Group, Mr. Yang had a diverse career spanning media and corporate management. From October 1994 to August 2000, he worked as a journalist at China Central Television (CCTV), assisting in the production of prominent programs. Subsequently, from September 2005 to November 2020, he held key leadership roles, including Executive Director, Supervisor, and General Manager at Beijing Hengcheng Feihong Trading Co., Ltd.

Under Mr. Yang's leadership, the Company has achieved significant recognition in the technology sector, winning the Outstanding Award for Scientific and Technological Progress of the Chinese Computer Society in 2021 and the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of the Chinese Institute of Electronics in 2023.

Academically, Mr. Yang graduated from Renmin University of China in July 1994, earning a Bachelor's degree in Global Political Economy and International Relations.

Zeyu Ning is Director of China AI Partnerships and Innovation at HSBC, where he leads the bank’s AI strategy, innovation initiatives, and strategic ecosystem collaborations across mainland China and the Greater Bay Area (GBA). Based in the region, Zeyu focuses on accelerating enterprise AI adoption, scaling domain-specific financial solutions, and advancing regional infrastructure to support digital transformation.

Prior to joining HSBC, Zeyu spent over a decade driving AI commercialization, corporate innovation, and strategic alliances at global technology leaders including Intel and Huawei. He began his career in investment banking and global markets at Morgan Stanley, followed by management consulting at Roland Berger advising premier financial institutions on digital transformation and strategy.

Zeyu is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

Wang Zhaoyu holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Statistics from Nankai University. He previously worked as a researcher in the Financial Engineering Department of China Universal Asset Management and later served as **Chief Quantitative Strategy Analyst at CITIC Securities**. He is currently with **CLSA** and obtained a securities advisory license from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission in March 2025.

His research covers multi-factor stock selection, active quantitative strategies, industry and style rotation, ETF strategies, financial derivatives, and risk management, with a focus on new quantitative investment trends driven by AI. He has hosted forums at CITIC Securities’ financial derivatives and quantitative strategy seminars and is regarded as one of the more influential sell-side analysts in China’s quantitative investment research field. His career path reflects a transition from a leading domestic brokerage to an international investment bank.

I currently serve as Chairman of the Hong Kong Food Professionals Association, Director and President of Hong Kong International Food Technology Innovation Development Company Limited, and Standing Committee Member of the Hong Kong Biomedicine Innovation Association.

I lead association members to actively embrace food technological innovation and deepen regional and international cooperation and exchanges. While optimizing the association’s operational and collaborative capabilities, I cultivate emerging industry talents, promote the upgrading of the food industry toward comprehensive nutritional value supply, and strive to build Hong Kong’s brand as an international nutrition city.

I collaborate with industry innovation service centers across Israel, Japan, South Korea, Italy, France, Singapore, Thailand and other regions, dedicated to establishing a global platform and bridge for food technology innovation and patent transformation.

Centering on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, I cooperate with characteristic industrial regions in mainland China to build joint technology transfer and achievement transformation platforms. Dr. Zhizheng Wu is the Founder and CEO of Amphion Technology, an AI startup developing next-generation speech intelligence, and an Associate Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.

He brings extensive experience across academia and industry, having previously worked at Meta, Apple, Microsoft Research Asia, and other leading research institutions.

His research focuses on speech AI, generative models, and human–AI interaction. He has led several influential open-source projects, including Amphion and Emilia, which have gained widespread recognition in the AI community.

As an entrepreneur, Dr. Wu is passionate about transforming cutting-edge AI research into real-world products. Through Amphion Technology, he aims to redefine how humans interact with AI through natural, context-aware voice interaction.
