Nick Trudgen is the founder and CEO of Space Markets, a company building financial infrastructure for the space economy, backed by Coinbase Ventures.
Nick started Space Markets around a simple gap. More satellites, spectrum, power and computing capacity are reaching orbit every year, but there's still no clear way to price any of it or trade it. Deals happen privately, prices aren't public, and investors outside the industry have few ways to take a view. Space Markets is building the markets, price data and settlement tools to change that.
The company's first product is SMX, a venue where people and AI agents can trade on space-economy events, alongside the Space Markets Index, which tracks the sector with a source for every number. Nick is building SMX for software as much as for people: its data feeds and agent tools come first, and the app sits on top of the same system. The company runs much of its day-to-day work through AI agents, with a small human team setting direction.

Nicole is the Chief Ecosystem Officer at Ubyx. She is an award-winning digital policy expert driving stakeholder engagement, business development and shaping financial regulation in FinTech, AI, and digital assets across UK, EU, MENA, US and APAC; formerly Head of Digital Policy at Barclays.
Nicole is on the European Commission’s (EC) Expert Group on Regulatory Obstacles to Financial Innovation. In addition, she participated in the Crypto-asset and Blockchain roundtables at the European Parliament and presented on AI to the Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN). She also led a UK Department of Trade Fintech Mission to New Zealand and Australia in 2026.
She regularly speaks on panels, presents at conferences and universities, has published articles (including a series on agentic commerce alongside Amazon, Standard Chartered and the GFIN) and focuses on upskilling and diversity initiatives. Further, she was named in the Financial News ‘Top 20 Most Influential Women in Digital Assets' and awarded the Freedom of the City of London for her work in FinTech.
